About Us

Divine Existence was first created to seek vengeance on another clan that was a problem to a select few of us when we were in another clan called Existence.  Since then we've resolved our differences with that clan and have moved on to bigger things.  dX started in concept on may 27 2007, when we had our first forum boards.  Due to their insecure settings and weak design we searched for new ones, coming across FreeForums phpbb2.  dX officially launched when Skoal_Slade left eX and went full time dX on June 6 2007.  Shortly afterwards Hillbilly followed on June 8th 2007, along with several other members of eX.  When the first month was through and eX found several of their members going over to dX they started shutting accounts down.  People panicked and ran back to eX, assuming we would fail and return ourselves.  We never did.  With the remaining members and clan founders we struggled to keep activity in dX.  Skoal, Techwizard, Phel_018, and Games of the Dead managed to keep things rolling fairly smooth though.

Originally designed to later incorporate other games, dX was set to be nothing more than Star Wars Battlefront II (SWBFII) to start, but in September and October 2007, we started to host and cater to Jedi Academy (JA), Jedi Outcast (JO), Star Wars Battlefront I (SWBF), and Empire at War(EaW) as well.  During late September our primary SWBFII events website (Ecliptical Realms) decided to change the moderation of events from a 3-man operation to being controlled by an entire clan.  TR and DE were the chosen clans to lead the revolution, and they united to create what is now known as Dark Resistance (DR).  Of course everyone else involved as a user of the website was outraged by the development, and a petition was started to make things the way they used to be.  Although things never changed, the clans that remained loyal to ER put up with DR and adjusted to the change, seeing no major effect on their gaming experience.  During that time of chaos Skoal and Nathan began to question their decisions to be a part of dX, and they too joined DR in October of 2007.  Eventually Nathan realized that he wasn't getting any better with DR than he was with dX, and that he had much better respect with dX so he decided to return in November 2007, and was given his position of SWBFII CC back.  Skoal decided to stay with DR and never fully came back to dX.  In the end ER's popularity had taken too great a hit, and activity plunged until December 2007 when it was finally shut down.

In the meantime 3 squads were setup for SWBFII in dX, Official Snipers (OS), Official Space Soldiers (OSS), and Conquest Troops (CT).  The OSS and CT squads never went very far and were abandoned, but the OS pushed forwards, with a few members being led by Phel_018.  On December 06, 2007 the Counter Strike: Source (CSS) Chapter for dX was created, to be commanded by Jayhov (now known as Hova).

At the end of December 2007 we found out that one of our members, Tubaninja had joined the US Army and was off for his Basic Training.  We all wished him luck in his training, and said our goodbyes.  He left January 23rd 2008, then after 5 months of training was sent home due to a severe leg injury that he sustained during military training operation.

While playing SWBFII in late December of 2007 we came across a player called AdvisorHelm, who was the leader of the clan Delta.  He was a good player and was enjoyable to be around, so we invited him to our forums and that led to the alliance between dX, and the clan Helm was a part of, Delta.  It was a mutually beneficial alliance that saw many practices and matches played with each other.

In January 2008 the Founding Fathers (Hillbilly, Slade, and Rugal) decided that the companies JA, JO, SWBF, and EaW were so inactive that they were doing nothing more than take up space.  A few days later they were officially removed and are no longer a part of dX.  notable in 2008 was the server that was rented by us for CSS during May.  It was used for nearly a year with steady activity but around march to may of 2009 the activity dropped so much that Techwizard (the one paying for it) decided to shut it down.  Around the same time (late 2007-early 2008) Games of the Dead rented a SWBFII server for dX, which we used until early 2009.

Early 2008 brought out the imposters in SWBFII it seems.  A fake dX clan was found under various tags such as [DX], and they claimed that they were around before us and that they were better.  Both claims were proven false through many clan battles later, and eventually the other dX disbanded.  Delta also had issues with imposters under the tags (delta).  As allies, we agreed to help them in any way we could and wiped them out of SWBFII after a few months.

The summer of 2008 brought about the biggest addition to dX in all it's history.  The Combat Arms (CA) chapter was started, in which was seen the biggest influx of members out of all our chapters.  Though the game was badly designed in many areas, it was addictive and fun.  While constantly complaining about how terrible it was we continued to play it anyways, slowly adding new members to our ever growing clan.  Delta followed suit soon after and again we practiced with them and played against each other to improve the teamwork of both sides.

Slade and Rugal had been around since the very beginning, founding fathers.  They represented dX in most events and were two of our best players, but that all ended in late october of 2008.  After many disagreements and arguing Slade quit dX and became fully part of DR.  Rugal joined him a month or two later, and although they both tried to get revenge on us all their attempts failed.  They were great members for the time they were with us but their agendas were too different from ours to continue leading this clan.

What was once a great alliance eventually fell apart, on January 12 2009.  Scorp, a long time member of dX in the CSS chapter, had a disagreement with Delta and decided to leave.  He Joined us for CA and SWBFII which infuriated AdvisorHelm, and without warning all contact with dX was cut.  We were caught off guard and didn't know why Delta had left us, until we eventually got word through to AdvisorHelm and he told us everything, along with everything Scorp told us.  AdvisorHelm was still mad no matter what we would say, and so the alliance ended.  Scorp has since been a welcome addition to our clan.

In the spring of 2009 a Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (COD4) chapter was started in dX, with only a few members to begin with.  It slowly grew and is still hoping to add more members.

June of 2009 saw the end of an era for Divine Existence.  We closed our SWBFII chapter.  Activity had been dropping sharply ever since we started playing CSS way back in early 2008, and we finally decided that the game which brought us all together had lived it's last days.  In all this mess of members leaving, arguements and problems, some good came out of it all.  By September 2009 dX had grown to 34 members, a number that some members of DR and eX, who thought we wouldn't last long, never believed we would reach.  We also had a big change in communication, with the new website and phpbb3 forums run by techwizard.  With a new member application form, a complete member list and separate game rosters, as well as ad free communication on the forums we came into a new era of dX, a more professional look to our website and overall presentation of the clan.

On October 15, 2009 dX started it's Alliance of Valiant Arms (AVA) chapter with a handful of members, with the intention of expanding our member base.
